Armando Ianucci takes his vividly insulting politicians to Russia with the ‘Death of Stalin’ trailer

If current events have somehow still left you wanting for Russian scandal and vile, incompetent parodies of actual politicians, you’re in luck. The Thick of It, In the Loop, and Veep mastermind has delivered with his latest joyfully wordy political satire, The Death of Stalin. This time, he’s got Jeffrey Tambor, Steve Buscemi, Olga Kurylenko, Michael Palin, Paddy Considine, Rupert Friend, Andrea Riseborough, Simon Russell Beale, and Jason Isaacs spewing the creative insults at each other, and they’re doing that in 1950s Soviet Russia.

The first, unfortunately-not-red-band trailer is above. The full deluge of cussing will debut at the Toronto International Film Festival next month.
