Well, it turns out my thought they’d make the Child’s Play reboot about a Furby wasn’t too far off. According to ComicBook, Chucky is getting a radically new origin for his remake. While once a toddler-sized toy possessed by the soul of a serial killer, as one assumes will be the case with a murderous doll, he will now be a malfunctioning electronic toy “whose programming code was hacked so that he has no limitations to learning and also violence.” Now if only they could work this “eventually kills you” technology into sex dolls…
