With his Golden Globe-winning role in Rocketman proving that he can both sing and be dressed down to be a little less obnoxiously handsome (Eddie the Eagle gets points there too), Taron Egerton is now going to see if he can’t convincingly belt out some showtunes as a nerdy florist.
According to Full Circle Cinema, Egerton is in talks to play Seymour, the role made most famous by Rick Moranis, in the latest film adaptation of Little Shop of Horrors. It’s said that Scarlett Johansson has an offer to play Seymour’s co-worker and crush, Audrey, with Billy Porter the favorite to voice man-eating plant Audrey II.
So did Griffin Newman and the majority of the Silicon Valley cast all just fail the singing audition or what?
