Eli Roth is making a movie based on an insufferably loud, obnoxious, desperately-unfunny video game about collecting guns, and for some reason, rightfully beloved actresses (and Kevin Hart) are just lining up to be in it.
Following the casting of Cate Blanchett, now Jamie Lee Curtis has signed on to join Roth’s adaptation of the looter-shooter Borderlands. Curtis will reportedly play mentally unsound scientist Dr. Patricia Tannis, a quest-giving archaeologist the game calls “insane(ly smart).” Clever!
There are numerous roles yet to be cast in the ensemble project, so it’s not yet clear who Kate Winslet and Meryl Streep will end up playing.
