In his latest series of VERY ARTISTIC black-and-white photos of men dressed up as comic book fellas, Zack Snyder has revealed that Jared Leto’s Joker will look quite different in his Justice League.
This is, after all, either Zack Snyder’s Justice League or Justice League: Director’s Cut, depending on what you look at. It’s all about the Snyde. He is not going to take David Ayer’s leavings. He is not accepting damaged goods.
So while Leto is still in the Joker role, he no longer looks like a rising SoundCloud rapper named Lil Clowny. Now he is the misguided frontman of a Swedish death metal band:
Ha ha, this guy looks like a real “joker”!
As for why Joker now looks like an entirely different type of dour asshole, Snyder himself is either playing coy or genuinely doesn’t have any answers. (Yes, it’s probably the latter.)
Speaking to Vanity Fair, the director explained, “Who knows what’s happened [to get to his new look]. I don’t know if he’s wearing makeup, I don’t know what’s happening. It’s hard to say exactly.”
Well, sounds like his oh-so-ballyhooed grand directorial vision is all sorted out then. Maybe at least the food will be good?
