Netflix has decided to give another show to some white men.
The company just announced that they’re developing an animated series based on Bone, Jeff Smith’s multiple Eisner Award-winning comic epic. Smith is attached to oversee the project, saying, “Netflix is the perfect home for Bone. Fans of the books know that the story develops chapter by chapter and book by book. An animated series is exactly the way to do this! The team at Netflix understands Bone and is committed to doing something special — this is good news for kids and cartoon lovers all over the world.”
Of course, Nickelodeon already tried adapting Bone back into a film in the ’90s, and Warner Bros. long had their own adaptation stuck in development hell, so we’ll see whether or not this whole thing gets boned.
