In Destination Wedding, two of our most still-hot ’80s stars dryly force their way through some stilted conversation while on their way to the titular nuptials and a definite hate-fuck. The rom-com sees Keanu Reeves and Winona Ryder—reuniting after Bram Stoker’s Dracula, A Scanner Darkly, and the immediately forgotten Private Lives of Pippa Lee—as the most aggressively cynical, embittered guests of a wedding that forces them to fly to a quaint vineyard in California. Conveniently, the argumentative duo end up having to share a table, a tiny plane, and, of course, even a room. But, hey, if it means we get to watch Lydia Deetz and Ted “Theodore” Logan finally go at it, keep the contrivances coming.
Their goth-rock climax will hit theaters August 24.
