Already spun off into a movie, two sequel series, and an entire martial arts discipline, Kung Fu is getting another reboot.
According to Deadline, Universal has optioned the rights to the 1970s David Carradine series, setting David Leitch to direct a movie that re-imagines the tale of a martial artist traveling the Wild West. Leitch, of course, worked for years as a stunt choreographer before directing such notable actioners as John Wick, Atomic Blonde, and Deadpool 2. He’s also meant to direct a remake of Enter the Dragon, but this seems like a better target for his talents. Maybe because it’s a kind of trash show already besmirched several times over instead of a Bruce Lee classic? Who knows!
Quentin Tarantino definitely has no opinions on these issues.
