In news sure not to upset any insane people on the internet, The Daily Mail is reporting that Captain Marvel’s Lashana Lynch is taking over as 007.
To be clear, Lynch isn’t playing Bond, and it’s not clear whether or not she’s actually being lined up as a successor to lead the series after Daniel Craig’s departure. But in the upcoming 25th film in the franchise, it seems that Bond’s retirement has opened up the 007 designation, and Lynch’s Nomi is the agent saddled with it.
As for the role of James Bond himself, the best casting option continues to be a really cool Golden Retriever in sunglasses.
