After going to space, the hood, tha hood, and swinging back around for a reboot, our most grotesquely diminutive horror icon is back again for Leprechaun Returns. And this time he’s got a right-wing political agenda: the teens-in-a-cabin he’s after are all extremely vocal environmentalists. So, given that Leprechaun is a villain, maybe the film actually has a left-wing political agenda? Who knows; the film’s ideology is as muddy as its photography, which is probably why Leprechaun’s momentous return is straight-to-video.
