Liam Neeson continues his wintry driving phase with The Ice Road trailer

Continuing to find bizarre new specificity in how he pursues his action-thriller career second act, Liam Neeson is back as another guy driving through wintry conditions as he inevitably ends up firing a pistol.

Just a couple years out from playing a badass snow plow driver in Cold Pursuit, Neeson is back in the chilly, extremely specialized driver’s seat for Netflix’s The Ice Road. Coming from The Punisher writer-director Jonathan Hensleigh, the film sees Neeson alongside Laurence Fishburne, Benjamin Walker, and Amber Midthunder as ice road truckers on a mission to save trapped miners by—you guessed it—delivering some large pipes. And they’re on thin ice… LITERALLY.

It looks like a Fast/Furious movie that’s somehow less crazy but still stupider, and that may honestly end up being a compliment toward this weird, dated genre effort. We’ll see how this latest chilly Neeson road trip goes when it hits Netflix June 25.
