While this thing is labeled as a teaser, it is not messing around. It’s packed. Everything one asks of an officially-designated impossible mission is here—car chases, motorcycle chases, fist fights, gun fights, a blade fight, exotic locales, a battle atop a moving train, a horse, shady government stuff, the part where Tom Cruise almost kills himself doing the Big Stunt, and you’d better believe our man Tom does some scampering. Those li’ legs absolutely do not stop high-stepping.
Could it use a burly, mustached man cocking his arms? Of course it could. Every trailer could. But this is nonetheless some primo Mission: Impossible content.
It will be a while before we see whether any bicep bumps yet await us: Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, Part One doesn’t hit theaters until next year.
