Good news if you consider David Bowie an inessential part of Labyrinth!
In development since at least 2013, a Labyrinth sequel is moving forward again in the post-Bowie era. Deadline reports that TriStar Pictures has signed Doctor Strange‘s Scott Derrickson to direct the three-decade-belated follow-up to the 1986 cult fantasy musical. Into the Dark contributor Maggie Levin is set to write the script.
Should that script see the labyrinth now being run by the late Jareth’s children, there just might be a way to quiet the haters…
