The Uncharted trailer offers another unwanted video game adaptation

Tomb Raider for Boys at last has its own Tomb Raider of a movie! In that it looks like a derivative, generic, forgettable adventure video game adaptation that will be a real slog to get through.

Giving the fans what few of them wanted, the Uncharted movie is a prequel, with a young Nathan Drake (Tom Holland) being mentored by a young(-er) Sully (Mark Wahlberg). They’re after some lost treasure, and there are no sub-Marvel quips nor CGI action they won’t explore to find it. The treasure? A Metacritic rating in the 40s!

We cannot wait to share in this treasure when inevitably giving it a C- or so when it hits theaters February 18.
