Sonic the Hedgehog 2 doesn’t come out until April, but Paramount just can’t wait to make an early announcement about its historically-accurate follow-up: Yes, we’re getting Sonic 3 and its interconnected Knuckles spin-off.
The studio has reportedly already started development on another sequel to their quite poor but very profitable Sonic the Hedgehog movie. And though the Idris Elba-voiced Knuckles has only appeared in Sonic the Hedgehog 2’s trailer, he’s already getting his own Paramount+ series. The streaming series, which will retain the films’ live-action/CGI form, is already being eyed for a debut next year. Perhaps Knuckles too will find a married man in his late ‘40s to live with—as is the classic story of these characters!
