It’s a Toast of London reunion with no Toast to be had.
Latter-day Star Wars star Daisy Ridley (barely remembered for being in a single Toast scene) and Shazad Latif (widely beloved for being the insufferable subject of Toast’s “Yes, I can hear you, Clem Fandango) are teaming up for a new thriller.
According to Deadline, the two are teaming up for Magpie, described as a sexy, Hitchcockian, contemporary, noir thriller. Stage, music video, and Agatha and the Curse of Ishtar director Sam Yates is heading up the film, working from a script Tom Bateman wrote from an original idea from Ridley. It’s said to follow “a couple whose lives are thrown into disarray when their daughter is cast opposite a controversial major star.”
Is this about Ridley’s work opposite Babu Frik?
