Bob Odenkirk does John Wick in the Nobody trailer

From John Wick series writer Derek Kolstad, here’s more evidence that pretty much his only idea is “badass assassin who retired to start a family comes back after he’s wronged.”

In Nobody, Bob Odenkirk stars as a regular schmoe suburban father and husband whose home is invaded one night. Despite having the chance to get the jump on the robber, he holds back and gets shamed for it. Was he a coward? Turns out, not the case! He was holding back because he’s this cool button man, and yeah, I’m thinkin’ [John Wick] is back (now under a different banner and without the dogs).

Still, directed by Hardcore Henry‘s Ilya Naishuller, produced by Wick‘s David Leitch, and starring Odenkirk, Christopher Lloyd, RZA, and Connie Nielsen, it will certainly make do in this brief drought of Keanu Reeves murdering dudes. And if it leads to Wick v Saul, all the better.

Nobody will be in whatever theaters are open February 26.
