Figment—the periwinkle dragon that plays a prominent role in Disney World Epcot’s Imagination pavilion and, doubtlessly, in a real fucked up DeviantArt scene—is getting his own movie.
Deadline brings word that Disney has teamed with Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s Point Grey Pictures to develop a film about Florida’s purplest lizard. Pokémon: Detective Pikachu’s Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit are set to write.
In updating the character from his early ‘80s origins, it’s said now the extent of Figment’s imagination is his pitch for a CGI/live-action remake of The Great Mouse Detective.
