Netflix dumpster dives into Lifetime’s trash with the Secret Obsession trailer

As its title implies with little subtlety, Secret Obsession is some absolute Lifetime-level psycho-sexual thriller shit Netflix is hoping to sell as an actual movie (and reason to continue subscribing to Netflix).

Directed by Peter Sullivan—whose credits include numerous more-literal Lifetime movies, along with The Dog Who Saved Halloween—the film sees Brenda Song as a woman awakening from a coma with severe amnesia. Her husband is eager to return her to the weird country cabin they apparently live in, but it seems HE’S NOT HER HUSBAND. He’s actually some coworker who clunked her out, somehow knew she’d get amnesia, killed her husband, then took his place as her partner. So that’s all fine and makes sense as a film.

We’ll see how she murders him or whatever when Secret Obsession (as said in a hushed tone) hits Netflix July 18.
