Only ’90s kids will have a hazy recollection of the events in Clint Eastwood’s Richard Jewell trailer!

After stealing scenes in I, Tonya, Paul Walter Hauser is back for another trip down hyped-up ’90s scandal lane, now in the title role himself with Richard Jewell.

Clint Eastwood’s latest tale of real blue collar folks bein’ heroes tells the briefly massive story of Jewell, a security guard at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta. He was initially hailed as a hero for discovering and reporting bombs hidden at the event, then became the widely reported primary suspect until—whoops!—it turned out he didn’t do it. He ended up less a hero than a poster boy for trial by media, and Eastwood probably can’t wait to spin that into some “fake news” shit for all his modern-day right-wing cronies.

Sam Rockwell, Olivia Wilde, Jon Hamm, and Kathy Bates co-star in this bygone tale of the man who didn’t bomb anything. It hits theaters December 13.
