Ryan Gosling will turn into a wolfman for Derek Cianfrance

Place Beyond the Pines and Blue Valentine director Derek Cianfrance has found his latest way to give Ryan Gosling an extremely problematic issue.

Deadline brings word that Cianfrance is taking over for The Invisible Man director Leigh Whannell on Universal’s The Wolfman. Gosling has been set to star for over a year, and it’s said that while he pitched the story, Cianfrance will now be handling the script. Werewolf dialogue is simply not for Gosling.

“Horror movies were my first love—my entry into what cinema was capable of narratively, psychologically and aesthetically. Coupled with the opportunity to collaborate with Ryan again, this is truly a dream come true. I’m thrilled and inspired to work with the good folks at Blumhouse and Universal to bring this monster back to life in our collective unconscious,” said Cianfrance.

Can’t wait to see Ryan Gosling again disappoint his partner and child with his secret deeds!
