Snubbed by Oscars, Adam Sandler returns to waiting arms of Netflix

Denied a much-deserved Academy Award nomination for his intense turn in Uncut Gems, Adam Sandler will get his sweet, Happy Madison revenge.

If you won’t reward him for his Howard Ratner, then you deserve him at his Sandy Wexler. If you won’t give him jack, he will give you Jack. And also Jill.

Thusly, Sandler has reportedly just signed a deal to give Netflix some more dreck, bumping up his ongoing deal with the promise of four more features. Notably, that seems to be in addition to the films he already has in production at the company—a Halloween movie that of course involves Kevin James and Rob Schneider, and an untitled animated film. (It’s unclear whether his still-developing Murder Mystery sequel is lumped in here.)

Uncut Gems was meant to usher in the Sandlessance. Instead, it welcomes us to Adamgeddon.
