Zachary Levi is returning to his Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel days of being the nonthreateningly handsome man who tends to some CGI bullshit. Shazam is reportedly set to star in Harold and the Purple Crayon, Sony’s long-developing adaptation of Crockett Johnson’s 1955 children’s book classic.
The story tells of a four-year-old boy able to manifest objects by drawing them in the air. Levi’s role isn’t known. He’ll presumably be the guy begging the god-boy to please have mercy on us as he bends reality to his underdeveloped mind’s will.
