Home Alone reboot adds more SNL-ers, mysterious figurine

As we learned nearly a year ago, Disney+ will soon retell the timeless story of the boy who uses his knowledge of the castle doctrine to relish in brutal vigilante justice. A Home Alone reboot is in the works, with Rob Delaney and Ellie Kemper set to star alongside Jojo Rabbit‘s Archie Yates, and now we know some other cast that will be joining them.

According to Deadline, Kenan Thompson, Chris Parnell, and Ally Maki are joining a cast also said to include Aisling Bea, Pete Holmes, Timothy Simons, and Mikey Day—who also co-wrote the script with fellow SNL-er Streeter Seidell. No official details of that script have been released, but it’s rumored to involve “a young boy (Yates) at war with a couple (Kemper, Delaney) over a stolen figurine.”

So if you’ve ever wondered what it would be like if Seinfeld‘s “The Statue” devolved into a lone child bludgeoning the Jerry and George characters with paint cans, get ready!
