Legends Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Sally Field, and Rita Moreno to finally co-star with Tom Brady

Following in the likes of Stand Up Guys, Last Vegas, Going in Style, Just Getting Started, King of Thieves, and The War on Grandpa, at last some ladies are getting in on the “notable olds have a comic adventure” genre.

The Hollywood Reporter brings news that Grace and Frankie co-stars Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin will be joined by Sally Field and Rita Moreno in 80 for Brady, a movie that will also see Tom Brady use his retirement to get some acting in. Inspired by a true story, the comedy will see the four stars as New England Patriots fans who take a road trip to 2017’s Super Bowl LI to see the titular quarterback. It’s said Brady “was deeply involved with the inception of the project.” This guy desperately wants to tell the story of when ersatz Golden Girls watched him play football.

Of course, since the Super Bowl at the center of this happened five years ago, we already know how this turns out: with at least one of these women dying by now.
