Because even 30 Rock can’t keep its satirical head above the ever-rising water level of reality, now we’re getting a sequel-reboot of Night Court.
The series is reportedly joining the likes of Roseanne, Will & Grace, Full House, Alf, Mad About You, Murphy Brown, Punky Brewster, Frasier, The Facts of Life, Designing Women, Saved by the Bell, Head of the Class, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and Doogie Howser in being re-heated 30 or 40 years past its “best by” date. John Larroquette, who won four Emmy Awards for playing Manhattan’s horniest prosecuting attorney, is set to reprise the role of Dan Fielding. The part of Judge Stone, originally played by the late Harry Anderson, will now be played by the character’s daughter. And if there’s any justice in this cursed world, Tyler Mane will play the son of Bull.
